Job Description

  • Develop and implement buying and trading strategies to achieve sales, margin, and stock objectives for retail stores and outlets.
  • Analyse sales performance, inventory levels and product sell-through, making proactive recommendations to optimise the product assortment and ensure profitability.
  • Collaborate with regional buying teams to localise seasonal product selections, ensuring the right balance across categories, genders, and store formats.
  • Provide customised product recommendations and guidance to franchise partners to maintain product consistency and enhance sales performance.
  • Monitor product lifecycle, from new product launches to end-of-season clearance, ensuring effective stock management and timely markdown actions.
  • Partner closely with store operations to align product strategies with store layouts, space planning, and sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular business performance reports and product analyses to support data-driven buying and merchandising decisions.
  • Track and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to provide fact-based insights that inform future product strategies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in order management, inventory management, or merchandising, preferably in apparel, footwear, fashion retail.
  • Strong analytically skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) with experience working with large data sets.
  • Highly collaborative, organised, and able to work across multiple stakeholders at both local and regional levels.
  • Passionate about retail and consumer trends, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
