Job Description

1. Business Development & Strategic Growth



  • Identify and assess new growth opportunities, including inland joint ventures and potential M&A activities.


  • Drive sustainability-focused initiatives such as electric barge development, solar power integration, and charging infrastructure projects.


  • Develop and present comprehensive business cases-including feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk analysis's both local and regional leadership teams.



2. Strategic Projects & Market Analysis



  • Conduct detailed strategic assessments on port terminals, emerging trade routes, and shifting commodity flows.


  • Lead joint venture initiatives to enhance inland waterway logistics and strengthen multimodal connectivity.


  • Oversee early-stage project evaluations to uncover long-term opportunities aligned with broader goals in sustainability and digital transformation.



3. P&L Responsibility & Commercial Strategy



  • Take full ownership of profit and loss for newly developed business segments, ensuring financial health and commercial relevance.


  • Prepare in-depth cost analyses and support commercial teams in designing competitive, customer-focused solutions



4. Project Management



  • Lead the full life-cycle of key strategic and transformation projects, ensuring they align with broader business objectives.


  • Work collaboratively across departments-including sales, operations, finance, legal, and international team's smooth and timely execution.


  • Monitor project progress, manage associated risks, and apply change control processes when needed.



5. Digital Innovation & Process Optimisation



  • Champion innovation by leading digital initiatives such as smart logistics platforms, collaborative ecosystems, e-documentation solutions, and container flow optimisation.


  • Promote digital transformation to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and environmental performance.



6. Performance Management & Team Leadership



  • Manage a team of specialists dedicated to driving process improvements and operational excellence.


  • Establish key performance indicators and oversee performance tracking through structured business performance frameworks.


  • Mentor team members to ensure high-impact results and cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline; MBA is a plus.


  • Over 5 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or project management within logistics, shipping, or similar industries.


  • Solid grasp of profit & loss management, financial analysis, and pricing frameworks.


  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and develop strategic business cases.


  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation capabilities.


  • Proven leadership in overseeing small to mid-sized teams, particularly in project delivery or process improvement functions.


  • Familiarity with the logistics and maritime landscape in Vietnam is highly desirable.


  • Proficient in both English and Vietnamese, French speaking / writing is an advantage
