The position is open for candidates having experience in formulation, commercialization, or production of outsoles (Rubber) and midsoles (EVA/PU/TPU) in the footwear industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of polymer chemistry, material science, and manufacturing processes used in the production of footwear components.

Job Description



The successful candidate will report to Factory Manager and perform the following tasks:

  • Formulate and optimize rubber, EVA, PU, and TPU compounds for outsoles and midsoles to meet performance, durability, and cost requirements.
  • Conduct material selection, testing, and validation to ensure materials meet the desired specifications for comfort, flexibility, cushioning, and durability.
  • Support the commercialization of new products from R&D through to full-scale production, ensuring smooth transition and scale-up processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source raw materials and manage material supply chains.
  • Work closely with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure the consistent quality of outsoles and midsoles.
  • Provide technical guidance on processing parameters, equipment, and material handling to improve productivity and minimize defects.
  • Ensure that all formulations and production processes comply with relevant environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in formulation, commercialization, or production within the footwear industry, particularly in rubber outsoles, EVA, PU, TPU midsole materials.
  • Experience in working with footwear manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, compression molding, or extrusion, is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of rubber and polymer chemistry, including compounding, curing, and processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with footwear testing standards (e.g., abrasion, traction, fatigue resistance) and quality control processes.
