Job Description

As a Commercial Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and Execute Commercial Strategy: Define and implement strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets across all channels.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team of 5, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Sales, Marketing & Key Accounts: Oversee sales operations, marketing initiatives, and key account management to maximize market penetration and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to drive growth and competitive advantage.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, distributors, and major clients to ensure long-term collaboration and loyalty.
  • Commercial Governance: Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial policies to ensure profitability and compliance.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and customer insights to inform decision-making and strategic adjustments.
  • Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term commercial planning.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commercial Director should have:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role, preferably within food ingredients including chocolate mix & compound, cream, butter, Gelato.
  • Strong track record in developing and executing commercial strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in market analysis and financial planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
