Country Manager role is a high-performing individual responsible for managing the operations, meeting the market position and revenue growth targets by keeping company competitive and innovative. You will also be responsible for the trade of commodity plastics, plastics polymers in Vietnam. This role reports into Commercial Director of Southeast Asia.

Job Description

  • Daily management of the local team, act as key contact liaising with head office
  • Recruit and manage staff including performance monitoring, mentoring, and training
  • Build and monitor the sales plan in line with organisational KPIs / goals
  • Generate and develop sales within Vietnam to find new opportunities and achieve sales goals
  • Develop market / customer insight and identify growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them, understanding their needs and resolving issues promptly
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms of sales agreements
  • Reporting sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to effectively manage materials and/or product sales and cost transparency
  • Effectively forecast based on customer insights, market insights, and opportunity progression to provide monthly volume guidance
  • Accountable for no ageing stock in Vietnam in general
  • Responsible on the overall CRM for Vietnam and work with the sales team to populate meaningful input into the system.

The Successful Applicant

  • Recognised bachelor degree with minimum 7 years of experience in plastics industry
  • Successful previous experience in similar capacity as Country Manager preferred
  • Experienced as a trader or any sales/marketing roles in any petrochemical company which includes producer, supplier and trading/distribution company
  • Strong network in the plastic industry with extensive customer base in Vietnam
  • Good technical knowledge of commodity/polyolefin products
  • Ensure deadlines are met through excellent time management and allocation of priorities
  • Strong drive for results with ability to consistently meeting or exceeding target
  • Minimum supervision required
  • Possess excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude, adaptable and flexibility
  • Able to converse well in English and Chinese with good written English skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel
  • Possess a valid driving license with good driving record
  • Must be able to travel for business appointment/meeting locally and/or overseas
