Job Description

  • Lead and develop engineering teams responsible for building and maintaining lending platforms, ensuring strong technical capability and delivery excellence.
  • Define and execute a clear technology strategy and roadmap aligned with business outcomes and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders - including business, product, and external partners - to ensure the tech stack supports scalable and secure growth.
  • Evaluate and adopt modern technologies and frameworks (including AI-driven solutions) to enhance product capabilities.
  • Establish engineering governance, security and performance standards, ensuring best practices in development and operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and technical innovation across the organization.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience: 10+ years in software engineering or technology development, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles (Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, etc.) within fintech, digital banking, or other large-scale tech product companies.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong background in lending technologies, including loan origination, underwriting, credit risk, portfolio management, and payments integration.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of modern architectures, cloud computing, microservices, DevOps, and programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript frameworks.
  • Leadership: Proven success in managing large engineering teams (100+), building scalable platforms, and working in fast-paced, international environments.
  • Mindset: Strategic, innovative, and collaborative, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Bonus: Experience in emerging markets and familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial services.
