About Our Client

Our client is a dynamic and growing middle-sized steel structure manufacturing company, specialising in the production and export of high-quality steel products to the Australian, European, and American markets. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Export Sales Director to drive overall commercial success.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Expansion: Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate and expand the company's presence in the Australian, American, and European markets.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  3. Sales Target Achievement: Set and achieve sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the organisation.
  4. Project Costing: Work closely with the Costing and Design departments to understand project costing, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for proposals.
  5. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
  6. Travel: Be willing and able to travel frequently to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities.
  7. Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, ensuring clarity in project requirements and expectations. Excellent proficiency in English is required.
  8. Reporting: Provide regular reports to the executive team on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the steel structure manufacturing industry.
  • Strong exposure to structural steel products and understanding of project costing.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for client meetings and business development.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
