This role leads the country-level Key Account Management function with full responsibility for driving growth across Global Forwarding solutions, including Air Freight and Ocean Freight, for multinational and strategic customers. The position combines senior commercial leadership and people management, working closely with regional and global stakeholders to deliver integrated forwarding solutions and long-term customer partnerships.

Job Description

As a Head of KAM, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the Key Account Management team, driving sales performance and professional development across Air Freight and Ocean Freight solutions
  • Own and deliver country-level revenue, profitability, and Sales Index targets for Global Forwarding key accounts
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of multinational corporations (MNCs) and strategic customers with complex air and ocean supply chain requirements
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, translating global and regional account strategies into strong local execution
  • Support and participate in senior-level customer engagements, including joint visits, commercial negotiations, and long-term contract discussions
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders to implement Customer Solutions Innovation (CSI) initiatives and integrated forwarding solutions
  • Establish performance management frameworks, including targets, incentives, and KPIs, to drive consistent results across the Key Account channel
  • Act as a coach and mentor to the Key Account team, strengthening consultative selling capabilities and forwarding expertise
  • Represent the organization at key customer events, industry forums, and internal leadership meetings
  • Promote Air Freight and Ocean Freight expertise by sharing market trends, customer insights, and best practices internally

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of KAM should have:

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management within Global Forwarding, with strong exposure to Air Freight and Ocean Freight solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including managing and coaching a senior sales or key account team
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex multinational and strategic customer portfolios
  • Deep understanding of forwarding products, trade lanes, and customer supply chain requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to operate confidently across regional and global teams
