Job Description

As a Southeast Asia Sales Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute the Southeast Asia sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets, with a primary focus on ocean freight.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the regional sales team to ensure consistent performance and professional development.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including key accounts and strategic partnerships across the SEA region.
  • Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure competitive rates and reliable services.
  • Collaborate with global and regional leadership to align commercial strategies with company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to anticipate opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working closely with operations and customer service teams.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis to management..

The Successful Applicant

A successful Southeast Asia Sales Director should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales/commercial experience in the freight forwarding or NVOCC industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background and network in ocean freight (import/export, FCL/LCL, carrier negotiation).
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams across multiple markets in SEA.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies, drive execution, and deliver revenue growth.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with customer-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in English; other SEA languages will be a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
