We are seeking a seasoned Operation Manager to serve as a high-level strategic partner to ownership. This role is designed for a decisive leader capable of building professional systems and overseeing our transition from 30-40 containers to a high-volume output of 60-80 containers per month.

Our client is a family-owned furniture enterprise currently entering a significant phase of operational expansion.

Job Description

  • Direct Oversight: Maintain an active, hands-on presence on the factory floor to evaluate current workflows and personally verify that finishing and production standards meet the brand's architectural aesthetic.
  • Workflow Optimization: Transition from reactive production to proactive planning to eliminate "last-minute" surges and ensure consistent, on-time shipping of current volumes.
  • Upholstery Integration: Begin the initial integration of the new Upholstery division into existing factory workflows, ensuring foundational processes are established.
  • SOP Development: Codify all operational processes into clear, written Standard
  • Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure scalability and workforce alignment.
  • Technical Oversight: Assume full accountability for the finishing and spraying process.
  • This includes precise color matching and directing the Quality Control (QC) team tofacilitate production flow.
  • Stakeholder Management: Assertively manage third-party inspectors and customer QCs, maintaining strict adherence to specifications and resisting unauthorized deviations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or Manufacturing
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (advantage)
  • Furniture manufacturing processes (solid wood, panel, upholstery)
  • ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Dynamic NAV, etc.)
  • AutoCAD or layout planning tools
  • KPI dashboards and production analytics
  • Strong operational discipline and execution focus
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Hands-on, shop-floor leadership style
  • Excellent problem-solving and change management skills
