This is is a newly created position with a leading European manufacturer. The position will form the link between Finance and Operations, playing a critical role in understanding the bill of materials, costing and general production costing.

A world-class manufacturing business with deep ties to Vietnam having opened their first production facility over 20 years ago. Fast-forward to today, this organisation operates several manufacturing plants in the south of Vietnam and exports their products to the USA and Europe.

Job Description

The role will responsible for transparent and accurate product costing through control of input, as well as development of pricing - in close collaboration with the executive team.

Product costing accuracy: Anchors product costing methodology and accuracy in BOM, incl. being responsible for minimizing variance between BOM forecast and realization.

Controlling inputs: Validates inputs from production that cannot be evaluated within current data foundation, e.g. on speed of output and allocation of supporting function costs.

Escalating wrongful input issues: Flags issues of inputs being set intentionally wrong, e.g. overshooting speed assumptions of new product to drive lower BOM.

Deciding on Support: Delivers actionable insights to drive cost optimization decisions focused on lowering the costs of target products.

Transparency: Ensures complete visibility into product costs and pricing through clear communication and serves as a single point of contact for all questions on product cost drivers.
