The successful candidate is responsible for qualifying, developing, and continuously improving supplier quality performance across global supply base. This role works closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, New Production Introduction (NPI), and Operations to ensure suppliers meet quality, delivery, and compliance expectations throughout the full product lifecycle.

Job Description

  • Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and ongoing performance management activities
  • Perform on site supplier inspections, audits, and process assessments as required
  • Travel to supplier locations to support inspections, audits, PPAPs, and corrective action verification
  • Drive supplier quality requirements including PPAP, control plans, inspection plans, and capability studies
  • Conduct supplier audits, both on site and remote, and manage corrective actions and follow ups
  • Perform root cause analysis with suppliers and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented
  • Support NPI activities by ensuring suppliers understand fit, form, and function of the products
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve process capability, consistency, and risk management
  • Develop and maintain Critical to Quality criteria aligned with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor supplier KPIs, trends, and risk indicators to proactively address issues
  • Support incoming inspection strategies and risk-based inspection approaches
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve supplier related quality issues impacting production or customers
  • Support implementation and use of automated inspection and measurement systems at suppliers when applicable
  • Review and approve supplier documentation including FMEAs, control plans, inspection records, and certifications

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Experience with supplier audits, PPAP, APQP, and supplier development activities
  • Proven experience performing on site supplier inspections and audits
  • Ability and willingness to visit supplier locations, as required
  • Clear and professional communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges, and vision systems
  • Strong capability in Root Cause Analysis and CAPA implementation
  • Experience defining and managing CTQ requirements and flowing down to suppliers
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience working with global suppliers is a strong asset
