Job Description

As a Director, Technology Risk & Governance, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive risk management and control frameworks for the technology department.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in operational processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies within the financial services industry.
  • Leading initiatives to improve governance, risk, and control practices across divisional operations.
  • Providing strategic advice to senior leadership on risk management and internal controls.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of control frameworks and recommending enhancements when necessary.
  • Coaching and mentoring teams to build a strong culture of risk awareness and accountability.
  • Collaborating with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director, Technology Risk & Governance should have:

  • A strong educational background in technology.
  • Extensive experience in technology and operational risk within large, complex, and highly regulated environments
  • Proven expertise in risk management, compliance, and internal controls in the financial services industry.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to analyze complex data and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience in working with regulatory bodies and understanding of relevant regulations.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
