About Our Client

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and entrepreneurial school leader to lead a rapidly growing international school in Central Vietnam.

This school is in its early stage of development and is currently an IB candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). Serving students from Kindergarten to lower secondary, the school has ambitious plans to expand both its academic offering and student population, including the future introduction of the IB Diploma Programme.

Job Description

This role offers a rare chance to shape the direction and identity of a developing international school with strong growth potential. The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the school through a critical phase of expansion and development
  • Establish the school as a leading international education provider in the region
  • Drive enrolment growth from approximately 100-125 students to 400-500 within three years
  • Oversee successful IB authorisation (PYP & MYP) and future programme development
  • Build a distinctive academic and community culture aligned with international best practices
  • Provide strategic, operational, and academic leadership across the school
  • Ensure high-quality implementation of IB frameworks and standard
  • Lead student recruitment, admissions strategy, and community engagement
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing teaching and leadership team
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, financial performance, and P&L accountability
  • Work closely with ownership on growth strategy and long-term positioning



The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will bring a balance of educational leadership and commercial awareness:

  • Proven leadership experience in international schools, ideally at Head of School level
  • Strong Deputy Heads ready to step up will be considered)
  • Demonstrated experience with IB programmes (essential)
  • Experience in early-stage or growing schools is highly desirable
  • Prior experience in Asia is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of both academic excellence and school business operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to balance a nurturing environment with clear expectations and discipline
  • Results-oriented, performance-driven approach
