Job Description

As a Commercial Country Manager, your main scope will include:

  • Define and execute market entry plans, including local setup and operational structure
  • Identify business opportunities and form strategic partnerships
  • Assess market trends, customer needs, and industry landscape
  • Develop go-to-market approaches suited to local conditions
  • Oversee financial performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability
  • Establish relationships with business clients, public sector stakeholders, and partners
  • Ensure quality experience for customers aligned with market expectations
  • Recruit and manage a local team, ensuring performance and capability development
  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance oversight for team members

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commercial Country Manager should have:

  • Degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualification is an advantage)
  • Extensive experience in senior commercial / senior strategy sales roles
  • Background in payment, retail technology, or related sectors is preferred
  • Experience expanding operations in new markets is beneficial
  • Strong financial management with ownership of revenue and cost performance
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities
  • Practical mindset with the ability to operate in fast-changing environments
  • Consistent and goal-focused approach to business growth
