Job Description

  • Lead initiatives to improve supplier performance in areas such as delivery reliability, cost efficiency, and product quality.
  • Drive sustainable, long-term improvements with strategic suppliers through structured initiatives.
  • Assess supplier operational capabilities and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using internal measurement systems and metrics.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to successfully execute and complete supplier-related projects, including transitions and capacity adjustments.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define and refine supplier selection criteria, considering cost competitiveness, quality standards, delivery performance, certifications, and compliance.
  • Ensure timely resolution and closure of supplier corrective and preventive actions.
  • Utilize industry networks and relationships to resolve urgent supply challenges and mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Support prioritization efforts during supplier capacity constraints to maintain business continuity.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements, supporting compliance activities as needed.



The Successful Applicant



Education

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is advantageous



Experience & Background

  • Degree in an engineering-related field (mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing preferred).
  • Several years of experience in a similar role, ideally involving supplier performance or development.
  • Strong analytical and technical understanding of operational and business processes.
  • Experience with production validation processes and quality system improvements within supplier environments.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and data analysis.



Additional Competencies

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean or Six Sigma); certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of technical standards or regulated industry requirements is advantageous.
