Job Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop Agile engineering teams, ensuring high standards in software delivery, code quality, testing, and performance management.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to execute engineering objectives and business priorities.
  • Drive the technology roadmap and contribute to architectural decisions for current and future platforms.
  • Balance delivery speed with long-term scalability, maintainability, and engineering quality.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across the engineering organization.
  • Mentor engineers to broaden their technical capabilities and support career progression.
  • Oversee technical debt management and ensure sustainable platform development.
  • Champion modern engineering practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps, code reviews, and software quality standards.
  • Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle and delivery outcomes of the engineering team.
  • Lead initiatives to improve development efficiency, delivery processes, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to drive talent development, succession planning, and team growth.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years leading engineering teams within a product-focused organization.
  • Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, REST APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform environments.
  • Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, software quality assurance, and engineering governance.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver complex products from concept through production.
  • Demonstrated success leading distributed teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across regions.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and people development capabilities.
  • Experience managing engineering teams within technology, fintech, digital banking, or financial services environments is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance technical and business priorities effectively.
