Job Description

As a Merchandise Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing procurement and supply chain processes to ensure seamless operations.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimise merchandise management.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to maintain quality and timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring alignment with production requirements.
  • Analysing data to identify trends and improve efficiency in the supply chain.
  • Overseeing the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the procurement and supply chain team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Merchandise Manager should have:

  • Proven expertise in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and tools.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
