The Financial Controller will serve as the senior finance leader for Vietnam operations, responsible for building and leading the company's finance and accounting function. This role will establish financial policies, internal controls, reporting processes, budgeting frameworks, and governance standards while ensuring compliance with Vietnamese regulations and Group requirements.

Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end Finance & Accounting operations for Vietnam, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and Group policies.
  • Strengthen month-end closing processes and continuously improve reporting quality.
  • Establish robust finance foundations, including policies, SOPs, approval matrices, and internal control frameworks.
  • Implement governance standards and enhance risk management, segregation of duties, and process efficiency.
  • Identify process gaps and drive corrective actions to support scalability and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Develop management reporting, KPIs, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally (production, supply chain, procurement, operations) to drive business performance.
  • Oversee cost accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing finance to improve margins and operational efficiency.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury, working capital, and banking relationships with strong financial controls.
  • Lead tax, audit, compliance, system improvements, digital transformation, and build a high-performing finance team through coaching and recruitment.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or similar leadership role in multinational manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in building finance processes, controls, and teams from the ground up.
  • Experience managing audits, tax compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on and willing to roll up sleeves to solve problems.
  • Strong change management and process improvement mindset.
  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
