Job Description

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are achieved.
  • Lead and manage welding operations, with hands-on oversight of TIG welding processes (orbital welding experience is a strong advantage).
  • Monitor and control production processes to ensure compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, particularly related to welding quality, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of equipment including welding machines, milling, lathe, tube bending, and cutting systems.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and KPIs.
  • Enforce workplace safety standards and promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.
  • Train, coach, and develop shopfloor employees to improve technical capabilities and team performance.



The Successful Applicant

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing or production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience in TIG welding (orbital welding is highly preferred).
  • Solid understanding of machining processes including milling, lathe operations, tube bending, and sawing.
  • Good knowledge of production workflows, quality standards, and safety practices.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Basic proficiency in reporting tools and Microsoft Office.
