The Technical Manager will oversee technical standards, support production processes, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Our client is an international manufacturer specializing in high-end furniture products, serving global markets with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship

Job Description

  • Lead and manage all Technical Department activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and KPIs.
  • Oversee development and implementation of technical standards, SOPs, and engineering processes.
  • Review and validate technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and tech packs before production.
  • Provide technical guidance to production, sample workshops, and subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QA/QC, R&D, Costing, Purchasing) to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead internal technical training and capability building.
  • Manage departmental resources, budgeting, performance evaluation, and talent development.
  • Utilize ERP systems and data analysis to support operational efficiency and decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical disciplines, or Furniture Design.
  • At least 5 years of management experience in technical/engineering roles within furniture manufacturing; FDI experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards for US/EU markets.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to work under pressure and drive results.
