Job Description

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

Supplier Identification & Development

  • Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to identify new sourcing opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential suppliers aligned with business requirements.
  • Participate in industry events, trade exhibitions, and professional networks to expand supplier reach and market intelligence.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, technical expertise, financial stability, and operational performance.



Supplier Qualification & Onboarding

  • Lead supplier qualification, assessment, and onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate supplier audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company and industry requirements.
  • Establish supplier development plans for new and existing suppliers.
  • Partner with suppliers to address capability gaps and implement corrective actions when required.



Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Selection

  • Manage the end-to-end sourcing process from supplier identification through final selection.
  • Drive supplier evaluation, commercial analysis, and negotiation activities.
  • Support contract and commercial discussions to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure sourcing decisions align with business objectives, risk management requirements, and operational needs.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Strategic Sourcing Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supplier development, strategic sourcing, procurement, quality, or supply chain management.
  • Experience leading supplier qualification and supplier performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of supplier audit methodologies, quality systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with suppliers across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
