Job Description

As a Supplier Development Engineer, Manufacturing Test, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts, calibration procedures, and acceptance criteria for PCBAs and finished products.
  • Design, validate, and deploy manufacturing test stations and fixtures for high-volume production.
  • Analyze test data to improve yield, identify trends, and reduce scrap and test escapes.
  • Perform failure analysis and drive root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by defining test requirements and providing DFM/DFT feedback.
  • Write SQL queries and analyze manufacturing data to monitor test performance and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot test station issues and collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and software engineers to resolve problems.
  • Document test processes, work instructions, and test methodologies to ensure manufacturing readiness and compliance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, test efficiency, reliability, and time reduction.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Supplier Development Engineer, Manufacturing Test should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering (high-volume electronics or RF products strongly preferred)
  • Strong experience with Python, LabVIEW, or similar for test automation
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators) and/or functional board testing
  • Proficiency reading schematics and understanding hardware/software interactions
  • Experience querying large test databases (SQL) and performing statistical analysis of manufacturing data
  • Demonstrated ability to drive yield improvement and failure root-cause in a fast-paced production environment



Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with high-reliability electronics manufacturing
  • Knowledge of SPC, GR&R, test limit setting, and manufacturing quality methodologies.
  • Experience with firmware flashing, eMMC, boundary scan testing, or embedded systems.
  • Background in high-reliability electronics manufacturing and supplier-facing environments.
