The Chief Accountant / Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting, tax, financial reporting, compliance, and treasury activities while managing office administration, HR administration, and vendor coordination. This role ensures statutory compliance, smooth business operations, and effective support to management in financial decision-making.

As part of its expansion journey, the company is seeking a hands-on Chief Accountant / Office Manager to play a key role in setting up robust financial, administrative, and operational foundations while partnering closely with leadership to drive business success.

Job Description

Accounting & Finance

  • Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions and ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts regularly.
  • Coordinate external audits and statutory reporting requirements.



Tax & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and review VAT, PIT, CIT, Foreign Contractor Tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax, and labor regulations.
  • Support tax audits and inspections.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on potential impacts.



Budgeting & Financial Analysis

  • Assist management in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide business insights.
  • Monitor actual vs. budget performance and explain variances.
  • Prepare management reports and KPIs for leadership review.
  • Recommend cost-control and process improvement initiatives.



Office Administration

  • Manage office operations and ensure efficient administrative support.
  • Oversee office leases, utilities, maintenance, and facilities.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Control administrative budgets and office expenses.
  • Coordinate company events, travel arrangements, and employee activities.



HR Administration

  • Coordinate payroll preparation and employee benefits administration.
  • Maintain personnel records and labor contracts.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-10+ years of accounting experience.
  • At least 3-5 years in a Chief Accountant role
  • Experience handling office administration and HR support functions.
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a lean organization.
  • High integrity and accountability.
  • Fluent English communication preferred.
