This role leads the full engineering function, covering maintenance, automation, utilities, and innovation, to ensure maximum plant uptime and operational efficiency. You will play a critical role in strengthening engineering capabilities, driving WCM initiatives, and supporting new product development within a fast-evolving production environment.

Our client is a global industrial manufacturer with strong expertise in building materials and advanced production technologies, operating multiple plants in Vietnam.

Job Description

  • Lead all engineering activities, including maintenance, utilities, automation, and equipment reliability.
  • Drive a "zero breakdown" culture and maximize plant uptime through structured maintenance strategies.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, CAPEX planning, and ensure cost control and investment effectiveness.
  • Implement continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., WCM/TPM) to optimize productivity and performance.
  • Lead engineering support for new product development, innovation, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, driving EHS initiatives across the plant.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, supply chain, HR) to achieve operational targets.
  • Build and develop engineering team capabilities, including training and succession planning.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or equivalent).
  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in maintenance systems, automation, and utilities.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as WCM or TPM.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to drive innovation, manage change, and improve operational performance.
  • Proficiency in English and ability to work in a cross-functional environment
