Job Description

As a Senior BDM, your main scope will include:

  • Identify and engage potential partners to build strategic relationships
  • Develop commercial frameworks and performance metrics with internal teams
  • Build and execute plans to grow the new business pipeline
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems
  • Conduct market research and identify target clients
  • Expand networks across business units and industry contacts
  • Prepare pricing structures and business proposals
  • Manage quotation processes and coordinate with solution and operations teams
  • Develop client presentations to enhance revenue and profitability
  • Review and negotiate contract terms while working with legal and risk teams
  • Act as an advisor to clients by offering value-added solutions
  • Conduct market insights and assess client landscapes
  • Identify gaps between operational outcomes and proposed solutions
  • Explore additional scope to enhance client portfolio growth
  • Coordinate with operations teams to improve service delivery
  • Manage internal approval processes for business cases
  • Contribute to regional and global account development initiatives

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior BDM should have:

  • 3-10 years of experience in business development or sales within logistics, supply chain, or related sectors
  • Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Experience in client-focused solution selling
  • Knowledge of the logistics industry within the local market
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities
  • Problem-solving and data interpretation capabilities
  • Results-focused mindset with professional conduct
  • Ability to work within tight timelines
  • Proficiency in English
