Job Description

  • Partner with business leaders to generate commercial insights and financial recommendations that support profitable growth and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial leadership to ensure business strategies are effectively executed, offering timely analysis, guidance, and performance monitoring across all commercial functions.
  • Design, enhance, and maintain robust financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes to support business objectives and strengthen governance.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives, business cases, investments, and budgets, ensuring decisions are supported by sound commercial analysis and financial rationale.
  • Influence and challenge cross-functional stakeholders by promoting financial discipline, improving commercial acumen, and identifying opportunities to enhance business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning, reporting, and performance management frameworks, adopting best practices to increase efficiency and decision quality.
  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to commercial teams, coordinating with specialist finance functions to ensure consistent communication and execution.
  • Lead the Pricing & Excise agenda by providing strategic financial guidance to maximize pricing effectiveness while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Enhance the return on marketing investments through rigorous financial evaluation, post-investment reviews, and performance tracking.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry profit pools to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic actions that strengthen brand profitability and competitive advantage.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • MBA and/or professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.
  • 12+ years of finance experience within multinational FMCG or similarly fast-paced industries, including at least 8 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong commercial finance expertise across strategic planning, business partnering, performance management, investment appraisal, and execution of business initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and communicate complex financial insights with clarity and impact.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise finance systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, leadership capability, and the agility to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
