An organisation in the manufacturing industry located near by Ho Chi Minh city. Our client is a well-established manufacturer with a large-scale operation in Vietnam. As the business enters its next phase of growth and operational transformation, they are seeking a senior production leader to strengthen manufacturing performance and drive continuous improvement across the factory.

Job Description

As an Operations Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to optimise production processes.
  • Overseeing the Engineering & Manufacturing department to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitoring and analysing operational performance metrics.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leading and mentoring team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Identifying and mitigating operational risks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Operations Director should have:

  • Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Experienced manufacturing leader with strong expertise in production management, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • They should demonstrate excellent leadership, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to improve productivity, quality and operational performance across a large-scale factory.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English is required for local candidates; Mandarin and English are required for Taiwanese or Chinese candidates.
